Step By Step Child Development Society has always enjoyed a very collaborative relationship with other commmunity services, agencies and School District 43.

Step By Step is a representing member of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Committee in the Tri-Cities.  This committee representing early childhood services in the Tri-Cities comprised of approximately 40 members meets monthly. This committee is a venue for numerous things; access to funding opportunities, development of Hub services, information sharing, awareness campaigns of services for children birth to 6 years.

We are also represented on the TC ECD Child Care Committee, the Early Learning Conference Committee, TC ECD Social Marketing Committee and routinely attend the Family Play and Learn Nights at the Coquitlam Centre.  

Step By Step is also an active member of the Middle Childhood Matters Committee.  This committee is a representation of service representatives for children aged 6 – 12 years.  This committee is fashioned similarly to the ECD  Committee as mentioned above.

We are also a participant in both the Roots of Empathy Program and the Seeds of Empathy Program.

We are currently working in collaboration with the West Coast Family Services and the Tri-Cities Family Place in providing a number of Mother Goose Programs and other workshops and presentations within the comunity and we are looking forward to expanding out relationships with other service providers and community partners  as we look forward to supporting children and families in the Tri-Cities area through a variety of programs. 

Step By Step Child Development Society is highly supported in partnership with the United Way of the Lower Mainland, the BC Association of Family Resource Programs and the Ministry for Children and Family Development.
