Skills Enhancement Program (Previously called the Kindergarten Therapeutic Intervention Program)

The Skills Enhancement Program focuses on children who are not currently receiving Speech and Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy services and would benefit from a skills “boost up” . The program encourages children to develop their speech and communication skills, fine motor, large motor, social, emotional and self-regulatory skills and brings together the expertise of a speech and language pathologist, an occupational therapist and an early childhood educator with special needs certification in a sensorial play based child friendly environment that respects each child’s individual learning style.

These programs are intended to support your child's readiness skills to ensure a successful transition into school.  The specialists and therapists in the program develop the sessions around your child's existing skill set and challenge them to further develop pre-printing skills, reasoning skills, enhance communication skills and further ensure successful social interactions in a group.   Recommendations and suggestions are made in a written report to you; the parent/caregiver that further support your childs optimal development.
